LOCAL HANDS…..

The vision of Hearts Treasure Foundation is to connect willing hearts with an opportunity to give and serve. Training young people is a very meaningful part of that process. Recently, we were able to take a small group of volunteers to the Ronald McDonald House in Buffalo, where they were able to make a meal for the residents. At Ronald McDonald House, families who have loved ones in the hospital are able to stay and be near the hospital and treatments. Often they spend long days receiving medical care, and the last thing on that mom or dad’s mind is getting a nutritious meal. That’s where the opportunity comes to make a meal for them and alleviate that need. This is a cause that’s near to our hearts, as several people on our board and advisory team have had extended hospital stays and benefited from the services of Ronald McDonald House. It’s a wonderful opportunity to not only give back, but to bring some young people along and give them some experience volunteering! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers who made this possible.

 

 

….GLOBAL IMPACT

Would you be concerned if we told you that a member of our advisory team was taking drugs across the border? Well…no need for alarm! Melissa, who is an RN in everyday life, recently volunteered to go on a trip to the Dominican Republic with Medical Missions Outreach. During the week long clinic, their team was able to see and treat 1,087 patients free of charge. Melissa was able take an entire suitcase full of vital supplies and OTC medications that were generously donated by YOU! For her part, she helped in the pharmacy, filling prescriptions and educating patients on their use.
